The O.C. is made up of old shops and restaurants and is completely pedestrian-friendly. Most of the stores still have their original architecture, so you can admire the cute “Main Street USA” style that this area takes after. You can spend your day at the beach or admiring the many shops that have been in existence for over 100 years.

L.A. is full of the type of culture that you might actual consume or enjoy. Things like a vibrant musical culture, a thriving arts scene, and of course film and television. The city and the surrounding cities make it a collection of towns rather than a proper city.
